CLEAR KOVE

Your website gets visitors but no enquiries. Here's why.

Traffic without enquiries usually isn't a traffic problem — it's a few fixable things on the page quietly turning people away. These are the usual suspects.

It's a frustrating place to be: the analytics say people are visiting, but the phone doesn't ring and the inbox stays quiet. Before you spend more on ads to pull in even more visitors who don't convert, it's worth asking a harder question — what happens after they land? Nine times out of ten, the leak isn't the traffic. It's the page.

The most common culprit is a missing or buried call to action. Every page should make the next step obvious and effortless: a "Get a quote" button, a number that dials on tap, a WhatsApp link. If a visitor has to hunt for how to contact you — or worse, fill in a ten-field form — most won't bother. Make the easy path the obvious one, and repeat it down the page.

The second is trust. South Africans are cautious about who they hand their details or money to online, and rightly so. A site with no real contact details, no clear pricing or way to get it, stock photos everywhere and vague copy sets off alarm bells. Show you're a real, reachable business: a proper area served, honest information, a professional look. Trust is what turns a browser into an enquiry.

The third is clarity. Within a few seconds a visitor should understand what you do, who it's for, and why you. If your homepage opens with a clever tagline instead of a plain description of what you offer, people bounce. Lead with the useful thing. Confused visitors don't ask questions — they leave.

And underneath it all: speed and mobile. A page that's slow or awkward on a phone loses people before they ever see your offer. Fix the obvious leaks first — a clear call to action, visible trust signals, plain messaging, fast mobile load — and the same traffic you already have starts turning into actual enquiries. That's usually far cheaper than buying more of it.
