CLEAR KOVE

Refund Policy

Refund Policy

At Clear Kove, we provide professional digital services, including web development, design, and software solutions. Because our services involve custom labor and digital delivery, our refund policy is structured to be transparent and fair, in compliance with South African law.

01

Non-Refundable Deposits

Most web development projects require an upfront deposit (typically 50%) before work commences. This deposit is used to secure development resources, schedule project timelines, and cover initial discovery and design phases. Once project kick-off has occurred and work has begun, this deposit is strictly non-refundable.

02

Cancellation Mid-Project

If a client wishes to cancel a web development project after work has commenced but before the website goes live, a partial refund may be considered at the sole discretion of Clear Kove. Any refund will be calculated by deducting the total hours already spent on project management, wireframing, design, and development (billed at our standard hourly rate) from the total amount paid. If the hours worked exceed the deposit paid, the client will be invoiced for the remaining balance.

03

Post-Handover and Go-Live

Once a website, application, or digital asset has been approved by the client and launched ("gone live"), or final project files have been delivered, no refunds will be issued under any circumstances.

04

ECTA Cooling-Off Period Exemption

In terms of Section 42(2) of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA), the standard 7-day cooling-off period for electronic transactions does not apply to services that begin with the consumer's consent before the end of the 7-day period, or to goods made to the consumer's unique specifications (custom web development).

05

Subscriptions and Retainers

For monthly retainers, website maintenance plans, or hosting subscriptions, payments are billed in advance and are non-refundable. Clients may cancel their subscription by providing 30 days' written notice prior to the next billing cycle.
